Do I need a dog in order to have a membership?
fBf:  NO, you do not need a dog in order to have a membership.  fBf simply believes both humans and canines need regular exercise and offers dog services for those who do have dogs.

How do I make an appointment to sign up?

fBf:  fBf has a minimal staff, which allows us to keep membership dues low.  As such, staff availability is limited to the posted staff hours throughout the week.  If requested, we make appointments to meet outside of the posted staff hours. Please request an appointment on the homepage of our website.

Does fBf offer a trial pass?

fBf: We don’t offer a trial pass, as we are a self service facility and key cards are not issued to non-members. However, everyone’s first workout is free. Please come by during staff hours to try out the gym. Any additional workouts are subject to the drop-in rates and must also occur during staff hours or by appointmnet. If you decide within the same week to join, we will apply the drop-in fees towards your initiation fee.

Does fBf offer a family membership discount?
fBf:  We offer a household discount.  The first member of the household pays a membership initiation fee. Any additional members of the same household have their membership initiation fees waived, as long as the first membership is current. Proof of same household is required.

If I sign up for a monthly membership can I convert it to an annual membership later?

fBf:  YES, converting from a monthly membership to an annual membership is simple!  There are no extra fees, you simply agree to move forward with committing to a 12 month contract starting on your next payment cycle.  This is a great way to reduce your membership dues over the year!

When are my membership dues paid?

fBf:  Your initiation fee is paid the day you sign up for your membership.  You have the option to pay membership dues upfront or pay at the end of each month cycle.  For example, if your membership starts on August 21st, your first monthly due will be processed on September 21st.  BOTH annual and monthly memberships can be paid monthly.

If I sign up for an annual membership, do I have to pay for the whole year upfront?

fBf:  NO, but you have the option if you wish to do so.

How are membership dues paid?
fBf:  fBf is a cashless business.  Membership dues are automatically processed either by a valid credit card on file or EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) from a checking account.    Account balances must be in order to cover membership dues each month.

What is a Weekend membership?

fBf:  A Weekend membership allows weekend members to gain access on Saturday and Sunday from 5am-11pm.  It’s a great options for many who have access to a gym at their workplace, but prefer the convenience of a gym close by on the weekend.

If I cancel my membership and rejoin at a later date do I have to pay another initiation fee?

fBf:  YES, the initial initiation fee is lost if you cancel your membership and then sign up later.  A new initiation fee would be applicable at the published rate when rejoining fBf.

How can I prevent my membership fees from increasing over time?

fBf:  By continuing your membership contract as an annual membership you are guaranteed of never having a price increase.  Once your contract expires, your membership is subject to potential price increases in the future as it rolls over.

Why is there an initiation fee?
fBf:  fBf has an initiation fee to join the club for a number of reasons. Most importantly it covers the initial costs to set up your membership.

Can I put my membership on hold?

fBf:  Month-to-Month memberships can be put on hold for up to 3 months per year.  Annual memberships are term accounts and cannot be placed on hold.

What is the membership cancellation policy?
fBf:  Your contract will clearly stipulate your cancellation terms for each membership type.  Month-to-Month memberships require a 30-day written cancellation notice.  Annual memberships cancellations are in accordance with CA state law.

Why is it Fun For Your Dog?
fBf:  fBf is dog friendly.  Our goal is provide members the option to bring their dogs with them to the gym so both humans and canines can get out of the house and get exercise and socialization on days when you might not have time to do both.  We offer dog lounge hours for members to bring their dogs so the dogs can socialize in the back room/yard area.  All dog lounge hours are supervised by an accredited dog caregiver.  We also offer dog walking services by appointment.  For more information check out the “fun for your dog” page of our website.

fBf:  YES!  Please visit our personal training page for more information.

If I have billing or other fBf related questions who do I contact?

fBf:   fBf has partnered with a third party processing company.  Members can contact our partner or but we suggest contacting us directly at the club to help resolve any billing inquiries and/or address any questions you may have about your membership terms etc.

Can other people use my membership?
fBf:  NO!  Memberships are issued on a per person basis.  Violation of this policy and your signed contract agreement is against the law and will lead to additional fines and/or immediate membership termination. This is the most important fBf policy and is strictly enforced.

If I lose my fBf access key how do I use my membership?

fBf:  Members are responsible for their access card to the facility. If lost please visit us during posted staff hours, call or e-mail and we will respond within 24hrs (if not sooner).  A new access key will have to be issued and your contract terms will state the replacement fee accordingly.

What is the fBf guest policy?
Guests must use the facility during staffed hours ONLY and must sign a liability waiver. If your guest has never used the facility before, their first workout is free. Any additional workouts are an $11 drop-in fee paid by cash or check and must be used during posted staff hours ONLY.
